Dear Parents & Guardians ~
On behalf of the parish faith community of St. George, we welcome your participation in the Religious Education Program. We appreciate your commitment to fostering your child's faith in Jesus Christ.
As parents and guardians, you are the primary educators of your children and we are here to assist you in bringing them to a fuller understanding of our faith and Catholic traditions. In keeping with the directives of the Diocese of Honolulu and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) regarding Religious Education, we need to foster the practice of our faith and its traditions.
We, too, have a responsibility to continue our own education in areas of faith, sacraments and spirituality. Our faith formation is lifelong. Therefore, we invite you to participate in adult educations courses that are offered by our parish as well as by our diocese. We need t take our responsibilities seriously as we practice what we preach and teach.
The information provided in this section defines our parish mission, procedures and programs available to your family through our Religious Education program. As parents, guardians, catechists, and administrators, we all have our part to play in the faith formation of the children of our parish. Information provided is to try to help all of us understand our role in the Religious formation of our children and how we can best fulfill our role.
Together, may we continue to teach and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May God continue to bless you and your family always.
Sincerely in Christ,
Father Raymund Ellorin
