Baptism for Infants and Children Under Age 7
Parents of the child must register for baptism instructions. A registration form may be picked up from the parish office. Form must be filled in and returned with a copy of the child's birth certificate. Parents must schedule an interview with Father Raymund prior to beginning baptism instructions classes. If you are not already registered at the parish, you must also complete a parish registration form.
Parents and qualified godparents are required to attend two baptism instructions classes that are conducted on the first and second Wednesday of every other month at 7 p.m. in the Mary's Haven room. Baptisms are celebrated on the last Sunday of the month after the 9:30 a.m. Mass.
Canon law states that a godparent must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church and must have received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
If you are from another parish and would like to have you child baptized here at St. George, you must contact your priest and go through the preparation process through your parish.
Please contact our parish office at 808-259-7188 for more information.
